What is Azure Security Center?
Azure Security Center, now delivered as Microsoft Defender for Cloud, scores your cloud environment against a security baseline and tells you in plain terms what to fix first.
It continuously inspects the resources in your Azure subscription, virtual machines, storage accounts, databases, containers and identities, and compares them to a recognised benchmark. The output is a secure score plus a prioritised list of recommendations. For a small organisation the value is not the dashboard, it is having a short, ranked list instead of a vague worry.
