Microsoft Defender
The Security Layer You Already Own, Properly Configured
What is Microsoft Defender?
Microsoft Defender is the security layer most small organisations already own inside Microsoft 365 and never switch on properly. Configured well, it covers mail, identity, devices and cloud apps from one console.
Defender is not one product. It is a set of services covering email and collaboration, endpoints, identity and cloud applications. Many Microsoft 365 Business Premium customers pay for it already. The gap is almost never licensing, it is configuration, alert ownership and a tested response routine.
How we use Microsoft Defender
What you get with Microsoft Defender
- A written baseline you can hand to an auditor or an insurer
- Phishing and malware policies tested against real sample messages
- Device compliance rules that do not break the way staff work remotely
- A quarterly review rhythm so the configuration does not drift
Not sure whether Defender is actually protecting you?
We run a configuration review of your tenant and give you a plain list of what is on, what is off and what it would cost to close the gaps.
