What is Yoast SEO?

Yoast SEO is the layer that tells search engines what each page is about. It is simple to install and easy to leave half configured, which is where most sites stand.

Yoast manages titles, meta descriptions, canonical links, structured data, XML sitemaps and social previews inside WordPress. It also scores each page against a focus keyphrase. The score is a helpful checklist and a poor master. A green light on an empty page means nothing, and we have seen exactly that on sites built with page builders.
